Yamazaki Single Malt

The Yamazaki 50 Year Old is Japan’s most expensive single malt whisky that has been distilled by one of the oldest wine brewing and distilling companies in Japan, Suntory Holdings Ltd. The company launched this limited edition whisky (150 bottles), which has been distilled in first edition Japanese pot stills. The malt was stored in a Japanese mizunara oak cask for over 50 years. It’s in amber in color with a fruity flavor and an aroma of aloeswood and smoky finish. It costs one million Japanese Yen, or around $13,000 and the company is available to pre-order in various department stores in Japan. Each 700 milliliter bottle is housed in an elegant grey box with the calligraphy sandblasted on it.
