The Flying Hovercraft

This all-around vehicle has a 130 horsepower liquid-cooled gasoline engine spinning the 60″ wood/carbon composite propeller and a 1,100-rpm lift fan that inflates a 34-inch vinyl-coated nylon skirt which keeps the craft off the surface. Lifting the entire craft are the small but wide wings that use wing-to-ground effect for flying over water and even on terrain up to 20-feet high. Range is about 160 miles from the twin gasoline tanks and could carry a total of 600 lbs. including the pilot and luggage.
