Penfolds Wines is one oldest wineries in Australia and is one of the leading producers of Australian wine. On June 28, the company released a limited edition of its 2004 Block 42 Cabernet Sauvignon, to celebrate the origin of this extraordinary wine. It will be in 12 limited-edition ampoules completely encased in handmade vessels, crafted by world-renowned glass artist, Nick Mount. More interestingly, it doesn’t have any cork or screw cap. Buyers will get a unique ‘Making of’ booklet and certificate of ownership and authenticity signed by Chief Winemaker Peter Gago and all contributing artists. $168,000.
