Most yachts are designed from the outside in, which means that it’s a boat first, luxury accommodation after. The MetroShop Houseboat on the other hand, is designed to be a luxurious condo first that happens to float. It’s 48-feet long, 12-feet wide with seven-foot ceilings. The walls are made from maintenance-free aluminum that’s also translucent to give your digs a nice glow at night. It sits on top of an aluminum hull which could also be made of fiberglass with either a 90hp single or twin, 60hp Honda outboard motors. The interior is modeled after NYC apartments with luxury trim all over. The Houseboat is built for comfort and not speed, so don’t expect any wave jumps powerboat style while you’re on board. $250,000.
