Manufacture Royale’s Opera is a horological masterpiece that costs almost a lifetime of savings to some, or chump change for others at a whopping $1.2M. It has a unique shape that’s in a 50mm wide 18k rose or gray gold case. It has three sapphire crystals and runs on a manually-wound movement with a tourbillon function and a minute repeater. The minute repeater plays the hours in the A note while the minutes are in C sharp. The watch is mounted on a Mississippi alligator strap and is limited to 12 pieces only. Each model will have a specific number or serial and encased in a veneered wooden box, made to the likeness of the Bastille Opera House in Paris. $1.2 million.
