Slashing the price doesn’t mean John Grado slashed the performance of his newest headphones. The PS500 is a third of the price of the higher-end PS1000 but offers two-thirds the performance. It does so by having a mahogany and aluminum enclosure with rare-earth magnets to faithfully represent the sound files you’re hearing. The frequency response ranges from 14 to 29,000 Hz – beyond the limits of human hearing. You may not hear all of the sounds, but you’ll definitely feel it, and that’s equally important.
