Gagarin Tourbillon

Bernhard Lederer is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s historic space flight with this watch. This ultra limited edition wristwatch is inspired by the Vostok space capsule. It features a 60-second orbital flying tourbillon that rotates counterclockwise around its dial counter in 108 minutes – the same time Gagarin took to orbit the earth in the Vostok capsule. It is powered by a mechanical manual winding movement by Bernhard Lederer with a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. It’s housed in a Platinum 950 case that’s shielded by a sapphire crystal with micro-engraved text with highlights of Yuri Gagarin’s flight and a complex movement with 264 components and 35 jewels. The watch is mounted on a black hand-stitched alligator strap only.
