Very few photographs in the colorful history of music invoked as much emotion, or has been constantly parodied than The Beatles’ Abbey Road. People were saying that it was a sign that Paul is dead, because he was prancing the zebra crossing sans shoes. But did you know that photographer Iain Macmillan only had 10 minutes to shoot the concept? We’ve seen the famous shot and here’s something you probably haven’t laid eyes on before. This was frame number two, showing the band walking in the opposite direction. And Paul was wearing footwear. It’s going into the blocks of Bloomsbury Auctions in London on May 22. Two things certainly brought Scarlett Johansson to the pinnacle of Hollywood, even earning her a star in the Walk of Fame. That’s talent and innate beauty. But it’s probably her tempting figure that propelled her cause, though many would most likely disagree. A movie role may have been taken away from her and given to Keira Knightley but it wouldn’t matter. She’s still one of the most bankable artists in the scene.

Digital watches may have all the computing power in the world for numerous calculations, but they’ll never have the seductive appeal of a mechanical watch. And who says you can’t have a computer from its analog counterparts? Montblanc doesn’t think so either, and their stellar Collection Villeret 1858 Tachydate is just a demonstration of that. Animated by a Caliber MB M16.32, the watch has a prominent date dial by the 6 o’clock with a 30-minute sub-dial and a continuously-running small seconds dial flanking the watchface. A monopusher operates the chronograph functions over the precision, dual ring tachymeter scale for extremely fine timing calculations. Two sets will be available, limited to 58 pieces each, paying homage to 1858. That said, the pricing is also relevant to that date. $58,000.
