C3H5N3O9 Experiment ZRO12

Chemists will be quick to point out that C3H5N3O9 is the molecular formula for nitroglycerine. We don’t need that since the sheer looks alone of the Experiment ZRO12 Watch is enough boost to our docile senses. Felix Baumgartner and Maximilian Busser, together with URWERK and Eric Giroud all helped in the design of this unusual timepiece. It’s inspired by the Wankel rotary engine, with Releaux polygons (the triangular rotors) to indicate the time. The inner, larger rotor denotes the hours while the smaller one tells the minutes. It’s housed in an asymmetric case with a power indicator at the caseback. Only a dozen of these ultra special wristwatches will be made. ~$115,000+.
