Backwards Abbey Road


Very few photographs in the colorful history of music invoked as much emotion, or has been constantly parodied than The Beatles’ Abbey Road. People were saying that it was a sign that Paul is dead, because he was prancing the zebra crossing sans shoes. But did you know that photographer Iain Macmillan only had 10 minutes to shoot the concept? We’ve seen the famous shot and here’s something you probably haven’t laid eyes on before. This was frame number two, showing the band walking in the opposite direction. And Paul was wearing footwear. It’s going into the blocks of Bloomsbury Auctions in London on May 22.
