A. Testoni, a well known Italian luxury leather goods label, has unveiled its most expensive pair of men’s dress shoes. It’s made from the world’s finest exotic alligator skin, that has been crafted using Norwegian construction techniques, making it tough and water resistant. As you can see, its sole is stitched with custom-made linen twine and is lined with glove-soft goatskin and adorned with a rich gold and diamond buckle. To justify the astronomical price of the shoe, they use a second proprietary process, called the piuma rapid, which require about 200 manual operations to complete. What’s weird is that these shoes were made up, deconstructed and then reconstructed in a patented method, to make the shoe light and something that can protect you well from hot, cold and humid weather. $38,000.
