2006 Torbreck RunRig

A wine this intense and complex is not for beginners or for the faint of heart. The Torbreck RunRig from their 2006 harvest is a powerful concoction from six regions in the Barossa Valley of Australia. It’s a combination of 97% Shiraz and 3% Viognier. The drink exhibits notes of black raspberry as well as other tastes that you won’t normally find in wine, like graphite, melted tar and slow roast meat among others. David Powell, founder of Torbreck, thinks that this drink is best suited for people with a lot of time and a great deal of patience. $220.
