1966 Porsche Type 906 Carrera


Back when the Space Race was in full swing, Porsche was firmly rooted on the ground, developing faster and faster cars. This Type 906 Carrera Competition Coupe for instance, was tested in a wind tunnel, resulting in a finely streamlined body that goes insanely fast, even with a small engine. This particular unit was completely restored and has been owned by Teddy Yip from Hong Kong. It still maintains all its original parts and will go under the hammer at Bonham’s Quail Lodge on August 18-19, 2011. $900,000+.
